Dr Andrew James Williams is a lecturer in public health at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health. His research focuses on homes, schools and workplaces as contexts in which health or illness are determined.
Andrew’s presentation will introduce the Smartline project which is exploring the opportunities for eHealth and eWellbeing products and services in people’s homes and communities. Three hundred households in West Cornwall are part of the Smartline project providing survey and household environment data, from sensors. The environments in which we live, our lifestyles and the consequences of our lifestyles such as air pollution are significant determinants of health.
